Pop’s Chili

Chili Dad's

Serves 40 people so you can cut it way down

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 2 bunches scallions chopped
  • 4 sticks celery chopped
  • 1 green pepper chopped
  • 1 red pepper chopped
  • 5 -16 oz can of tomatoes squish with hands
  • 5- 4 oz can of tomato sauce
  • 2 - 6 oz can tomato paste
  • 2 packages chili seasoning

Instructions

  • Brown 2 lbs pasty meat if can't find ground chuck is fine
  • 3-1/4 lbs ground chuck
  • Salt, pepper & garlic salt to taste
  • drain after browning
  • Add to meat
  • 2 cans light red beans with juice
  • 2 can dark red beans with juice
  • 1 cup chili powder
  • Sprinkle seasoning salt, parsley flakes, garlic powder,, salt & lots of pepper
  • Add meat & bean mixture to veggies in large pot
  • While simmering add about 18 squirts of Worcestershire Sauce
