Auntie Joni's Texas Sheet Cake

Ingredients

Cake Batter

  • 2 Sticks Oleo
  • 1 cup Water
  • 4 TBSP Cocoa
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Cup Sour Cream
  • 2 tsp Baking Soda

Frosting for Texas Sheet cake

  • 1 stick oleo
  • 4 TBSP cocoa
  • 6 TBSP milk
  • 1 lb powder suger
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

Cake Batter

  • Bring 2 sticks oleo, 1 cup water, 4 tbsp cocoa to boil
  • Add 2 cups flour,  2 cups sugar 1 egg &  Beat in 1 cup sour cream & 2 teaspoon baking soda
  • Mix well
  • Bake 20 -22 minutes at 350 degrees in a deep cookie sheet

Frosting for Texas Sheet cake

  • Bring 1 stick oleo, 4 tbsp cocoa, 6 tbsp milk to boil
  • Add 1 lb powder sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 cup chopped nuts to frosting mixture
