Mert's Swedish Rye Bread

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tbsp tbl shortening
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 Cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 Cup dark karo syrup
  • 1 1/2 Cup warm water
  • 1 Pkg yeast
  • 1 1/2 Cup rye flour
  • 1 1/4 Cup white flour
  • 1/1/4 Cup white flour

Instructions

  • Bake 300 degrees for 1/2 hour then rotate
  • last 15-20 minutes bake at 350 degrees
