Pete’s Camp Taters
Pete’s camp taters stick to your ribs and are the perfect side dish to warm you up for long morning in a cold duck blind. They are by no means healthy, but they are delicious down-home camp food!
Ingredients
- 6 Idaho Potatoes
- 1/2 Stick of Butter
- Black Pepper
- Season Salt
- Onion Powder
- Garlic Powder
Instructions
- Begin by peeling and slicing the potatoes (au gratin style) into 1/8 inch or thinner slices.
- Next, warm up your pan over medium-high heat to melt the butter.
- Then, place your potatoes in the pan and liberally season with black pepper, season salt, onion powder, and garlic powder while mixing the potatoes to coat all sides.
- Stirring occasionally throughout.
- Cover and cook until potatoes are al dente (~10 minutes).
- Finally, remove the cover and cook 5 additional minutes to crisp.
- Enjoy!
